Alert: prevention of occupational risks due to exposure to heat
II Alert. 12 month campaign, 12 alerts
The IRSST is already working on the prevention of occupational accidents associated with heat.
Although most of the injuries produced are mild, it is necessary to take extreme precautions to avoid more serious injuries that can produce very negative effects on health, as can happen with heat stroke.
To know the information on the daily evolution of temperatures, access the heat wave bulletin.
In addition, you can access all the information that the Community of Madrid makes available to you on this subject in the space heat and health.
Damage to health
Damage from exposure to high temperatures can vary from a simple rash to a heatstroke which, under certain conditions, can cause death.
Tips for workers and employers
The IRSST has designed different printable infographics in order to facilitate access to tips to avoid heat stroke. Both workers and employers can obtain them by clicking the download button.
