The Community of Madrid is a Spanish autonomous region. Located in the northern part of the Central Plateau, its capital, Madrid, is also the capital of Spain and the province of the same name. It is the third-largest autonomous community by population (more than 7 inhabitants) and the most densely populated. It enjoys a central position in Spain's transportation network.
