At the Regional Institute for Safety and Health at Work (IRSST) of the Community of Madrid, we are committed to training in occupational risk prevention as an essential element to improve the safety, health and well-being of workers in the region.
Our goal is to strengthen the culture of prevention, thereby guaranteeing safer work environments and thus reducing work-related accidents, occupational diseases and workplace accidents.
Specific training campaigns
The Regional Institute for Occupational Health and Safety of the Community of Madrid has implemented several specific campaigns with the aim of promoting the prevention of occupational risks in certain productive sectors that require specialized training.
Specific campaign to prevent musculoskeletal disorders in the upper limb and muscle dysfunctions aimed at different profiles of musicians in:
- Orchestras, bands, groups
- Music schools and groups of instrumental musicians
- Extensible to PRL technical staff and other professionals in the field of safety and health at work in the leisure and music sector
Preventive information campaign on biological risks due to nosocomial infections in elderly care centres aimed at health and social care centres.
Specialized training program in verbal de-escalation and safety, care of agitated patients in the hospital setting, psychiatry units, psychogerontology and emergencies.
Campaign aimed at offering practical training in safe handling of people in healthcare sectors to prevent musculoskeletal disorders in healthcare centres and care centres for the elderly and dependent people.
