How to study FP: face-to-face, dual, distance, bilingual projects and center autonomy projects
Find the way to study FP according to your needs and circumstances.
Currently you have several ways to study Vocational Training, always learning by skills, depending on what you are looking for or your specific needs.
You should check in VET admission Whether the level (Basic Vocational Training, Intermediate Degree or Higher Degree) or the professional family you are looking for exist for each of the modalities.
Face-to-Face VET
Face-to-face VET is characterized by the daily class attendance in the educational center, either in the morning shift or in the afternoon shift.
Professional modules are taught spread over two academic years.
Enrollment is complete for all modules of the course except those already passed.
Access to Training in Work Centers (FCTs) occurs when all the professional modules have been passed, or in the event that one is pending according to the evaluation of the teaching team.
The FCTs take place in the last quarter of the second year, as long as they are not short training cycles. In this case they take place in the second quarter of the second year.
The practices have the following duration:
- Basic FP: 320 hours
- Intermediate degree and superior degree: 370 hours
Dual FP
The DUAL Vocational Training model is applied to both intermediate and higher level training cycles. Except for a few exceptions, such as the study plans that lead to a double degree, the first year is taken at the educational center and the second year is completed at the company. The training program is agreed between the educational center and the company. The educational center imparts the essential theoretical-practical knowledge and coordinates with the company to complete the rest of the training.
The objectives are:
-
Adapt Vocational Training to the current reality of the labor market.
-
Improve the quality of training received by students.
-
Increase job placement and employability of graduates.
Particularities
-
The training is shared between teaching activities that take place in the educational center and training activities that take place in the productive environment. Some professional modules will be taught entirely at the educational center and others will be shared between the educational center and the company.
-
During the stay in the educational center, the student will comply with school hours, and during the training period in the company the student will remain full-time in accordance with the schedule established by the company.
What it means for companies:
-
It allows the recruitment of talent and adaptation to the company's own culture.
-
It favors the assimilation of new skills that will make future professionals more productive.
-
Promotes innovation, competitiveness and business development.
-
It is part of corporate social responsibility and investment in human capital.
What does it mean for students:
-
Learning by doing.
-
Receive training according to the needs of companies.
-
Improve their personal and professional skills and competencies.
-
Receive a training scholarship from the company.
-
Registration in the General Scheme of Social Security.
-
New and better employment opportunities.
You can check which centers and in which cycles the dual modality is taught in our APP, F.P.Mad, that you can download both in Play Store, As in APP Store:
The company will manage the registration in the General Social Security Scheme of each of the interns, during the period of training in your company.
The company will pay a monthly scholarship to the student during their training period, for a minimum amount of:
- €300 per month (higher degree)
- €200 per month (intermediate degree)
Distance VET
Distance VET is especially suitable if, due to your circumstances, you cannot afford to attend face-to-face classes on a daily basis. You must take into account the following:
- It is studied through online tutoring which is carried out in the Distance VET Virtual Classroom.
- The internships (FCTs) are face-to-face in the same way as in the face-to-face regimen.
Purpose of Distance Vocational Training:
- Contribute to improve professional qualification of adults or allow them to acquire the skills required for the exercise of other professions.
- Promote the compatibility of study and training with work activity or other responsibilities, as well as with those personal situations that make study and training difficult in face-to-face teaching.
- favor the access to additional training required by people who pass a process of evaluation and accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience, in order to obtain a Vocational Training degree or a certificate of professionalism.
- Extend the Vocational Training offer to the maximum and facilitate access to all citizens under equal conditions, through a flexible organization of the teachings, a methodology based on the self learning and use of information and communication technologies.
