Registration for the Contest is open from December 1, 2018 to February 28, 2019. In March 2019, 10 different sessions of the Industrial Contest will be held in the International Divisions in 10 cities in 9 countries, as well as the preliminary round for the Thematic Contest. In April 2019, more than 100 projects selected from the international division competitions and the Thematic competition will meet in Shenzhen where they will compete in various rounds, including the Thematic Final, the Industrial Final and the Final, to be eligible for the highest honors. and awards from the Contest. The total amount of the prizes amounts to 11,2 million RMB, including 2,9 million RMB for the International Divisions Finals, 1,5 million RMB for the Thematic Final, 2,5 million RMB for the Industrial Final and RMB 4,3 million for the Final. A participant can have a chance to win a total prize of RMB1.4 million. In addition to awarding prizes, the competition also offers support to high-quality entrepreneurship projects through industry incentives, financial support, and project incubation.

This year's international competition will continue to connect cities and regions with a global implantation to achieve further expansion. A new session of the International Division of the competition has been added to the nine already existing and will take place in Madrid (Spain). Thus, there will be a total of ten sessions of the Competition in its International Divisions, to be held in Sydney (Australia), Toronto (Canada), Berlin (Germany), Tel Aviv (Israel), Tokyo (Japan), Stockholm (Sweden), Madrid (Spain), Boston (USA), Silicon Valley (USA) and London (United Kingdom).

Up to 40 venture capital organizations will participate in the international competition. A number of well-known investment organizations represented by Shenzhen Capital Group, Shenzhen Green Pine Capital, Oriental Fortune Capital, Cowincapital and Green Orange Capital will act together during the competition to establish a venture capital fund of RMB25 billion to carry out investments in the best projects of the competition. During the Competition, investment institutions and investors from Shenzhen will participate as judges and supervisors to facilitate the linking between projects from different countries and divisions. All participating projects will receive equity investment opportunities through the competition's investment services platform.

Meanwhile, two banks will be selected to offer various financial services solutions, such as "investment and financing loans" and "talent loans" to offer financial alternatives to companies that wish to establish themselves and promote the development of the contending projects.
