Large families

The family, as the fundamental nucleus of society, performs multiple social functions that make it worthy of specific protection. Within the various family realities, the so-called large families present a particular vulnerability due to the cost that it represents for them, for example, the care and education of their children or access to adequate housing for their needs. In order for a family to enjoy the benefits of being a large family, it is necessary that this condition be recognized by means of an official title. This title is granted, upon request and if the legally established requirements are accredited.

NOTICE

After the approval of Decree 30/2023, of April 5, which modifies Decree 141/2014, of December 29, of the Government Council, which regulates the administrative procedure for the recognition of the status of large family, the issuance and renewal of the title and the individual large family card of the Community of Madrid:

The expiration of the titles is extended until the last of the children reaches the age of 26, thus eliminating the need for renewal.
Each member of the family unit may have an individual card with its own expiration date (until the day before turning 26, when they continue their studies)
Families must communicate any changes produced in the family unit that may affect compliance and maintenance of the requirements that motivated the recognition of the Large Family status.
Families may make their requests for the processing of the title or any modification thereof through the registration units detailed in the tab Where to apply? , thus streamlining the management procedure.

Who are large family?

A large family is considered to be:

The family made up of one or two ascendants with conjugal ties and three or more childrenwhether or not they are common.
The family made up of one or two ascendants with two childrenwhether or not they are common, provided that at least one of the children has a disability greater than 33%, or is unable to work.
The family made up of two ascendants, when both were disabled, or, at least, one of them had a degree of disability equal to or greater than 65 percent, or were unable to work, with two children, whether or not they are common
An ascendant separated or divorced, with three or more children even if they are in different family units.
Two orphaned brothers, with a parent, when the other is dead.
Two or more brothers orphaned by father and mother under guardianship, in foster care or guardianship, but that are not at the expense of the tutor, host or guardian who lives with the tutor, host or guardian.
Three or more brothers orphaned by father and mother, over 18 years of age, or two if one of them is disabled, who live together and are economically dependent on each other.

Large family title

After verifying the necessary documentation in each case, it is accredited by means of the large family title, which is an official document valid throughout the national territory.

Obtaining this recognition allows access to a wide range of benefits and bonuses for large families. In order to access them, the family unit must maintain said title in force.

Where can I request it?

The application can be submitted to the Community of Madrid in different ways:

Registry Offices

You can perform this management at any Registry Office of the Community of Madrid, through the councils attached to the Single Window, as well as at the offices of the Registry of the General State Administration or by certified mail. They can also be presented at the Diplomatic Representations or Consular Offices of Spain abroad or at the Registry offices of other Autonomous Communities.

Internet

To submit the application and documentation online, through the Telematic Registry of the Community of Madrid, it is necessary to have one of the electronic certificates recognized by the Community of Madrid. You can also, for greater convenience, perform this action through IDentifies

In the application, the option of receiving notifications electronically is possible, as long as the user is registered in the System of Telematic Notifications of the Community of Madrid.

Documents may also be provided, during the processing of the file, through the telematic document contribution service, and send communications referring to open files, accessing through the consultation of files, within the electronic administration page.

Documents to be submitted

Each family has its particular characteristics, so it is necessary to justify these conditions with supporting documentation.

First

Family with 3 or more children

Application signed by one of the holders, tutors, hosts or guardians.
Photocopy of family Book where the birth of children and marriage are recorded. Otherwise, a copy of the certificates of marriage and birth of children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided.
Photocopy of ID of parents and children over 14 years of age. In case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens o valid residence permit. In all these cases, of all members of the family unit.
In case of marriages celebrated abroad: the marriage certificate must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs -through its embassies and consular offices- or with the Hague apostille and with an official translation into Spanish.
Certificate or registration form in force issued by the City Council of the entire family unit at the same address without prejudice to those provided for in the cases established for temporary separation, obtained at most within the three months immediately prior to the date of application. Children under six months of age are not required to appear.
In the event of disability, a photocopy of the current supporting certificate or a photocopy of the card certifying the degree of disability (those over 21 years of age, passive pension certificate or work life report).

Family without conjugal bond

In this case, they must provide this documentation:

Application signed by THE PARENT WHO IS GOING TO BE THE HOLDER OF THE LARGE FAMILY TITLE.
Document from the non-title parent in which they express their knowledge of the inclusion of their children in the title of large family together with a copy of the DNI/NIE.
Photocopy of the DNI of the parents and children over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit. In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book where the birth of the children is recorded or, failing that, a copy of the birth certificates of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation, if it exists in the State of which they are nationals. This documentation must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with an apostille from The Hague and an official translation into Spanish.
Valid certificate or registration form issued by the Town Council of residence of the entire family unit, obtained within the three months immediately prior to the date of application. Children under six months are not required to be listed.

Law 40/2003 on the Protection of Large Families establishes that, when there is no marital relationship between the parents, only one of the two may be the owner.

Family of foreign residents

Application signed by one of the parents
Photocopy of the NIE in force of all non-national members or certificate of registration in the register of citizens of the Union. If there are members of the family unit with a DNI, they must also be provided. In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book stating the birth of the children and, if applicable, the marriage or, failing that, a copy of the marriage and birth certificates of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation, if it exists in the State of which they are nationals. This documentation must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with an apostille from The Hague and an official translation into Spanish.
Valid certificate or registration form issued by the Town Council of residence of the entire family unit, obtained within the three months immediately prior to the date of application. Children under six months are not required to be listed

The members of the family unit, nationals of other countries, will have the right to recognition of the status of a large family under the same conditions as Spaniards, provided they have legal residence.

Family with deceased parent

Application signed by the parent, legal guardian or member of the family unit with legal capacity.
Photocopy of the DNI of the parent or guardian/s and of the members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book and, if applicable or otherwise, a copy of the certificates and birth of the children and death certificate of the deceased parent(s), if it does not appear in the family book
Valid certificate or registration form issued by the Town Council of residence of the entire family unit, obtained within the three months immediately prior to the date of application. Children under six months are not required to be listed.
In case of guardianship or legal guardianship, legal documentation must be presented that proves this condition.

National/EU residents in the European Economic Area (EEA)

Application signed by one of the parents or guardians or a member of the family unit with legal capacity
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens.
Photocopy of the family book stating the birth of the children and, if applicable, the marriage or, failing that, a copy of the marriage and birth certificates of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation, if it exists in the State of which they are nationals. This documentation must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with an apostille from The Hague and an official translation into Spanish.
In the case of nationals who work in Spanish institutions outside the national territory, documentation accrediting the performance of their job and that the members of the family unit are registered in the Community of Madrid for the purposes of their electoral participation.
Documentation accrediting that one of the ancestors of the family unit is working on their own account or as an employee in the Community of Madrid.

Family with special income category

Application signed by one of the parents or guardians or a member of the family unit with legal capacity.
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period and, where appropriate, a responsible declaration must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book stating the birth of the children and, if applicable, the marriage or, failing that, a copy of the marriage and birth certificates of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation, if it exists in the State of which they are nationals. This documentation must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with an apostille from The Hague and an official translation into Spanish.

They must provide income tax returns and/or income attribution certificates for all working members, together with the Report on the working life of all children over 16 years of age (whether they work or not), issued by Social Security.
Those over 21 years of age who are disabled or unable to work must submit a certificate of passive pensions or a report on working life.
Application signed by one of the parents or guardians or a member of the family unit with legal capacity.
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). The tax certificate is requested online at http://www.agenciatributaria.es or at any Tax Agency.
The work life report is requested at any Social Security office or at its electronic headquarters https://sede.seg-social.gob.es
According to the Law for the Protection of Large Families, each child disabled or unable to work will count as two to determine the category in which the family unit of which they are a part is classified. (art 4.3), but income will be reviewed by number of members of the family unit each year.

Family with pre-adoption foster care or legal guardianship

Application signed by one of the parents, guardians or member of the family unit with legal capacity (child of legal age).
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book stating the birth of the children and, if applicable, the marriage or, failing that, a copy of the marriage and birth certificates of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation, if it exists in the State of which they are nationals. In the case of civil guardianships, with a judicial resolution, which agrees.
In the case of administrative guardianships (permanent foster care, pre-adoption or legal guardianship), a copy of the judicial or administrative resolution that agrees it.
Valid certificate or registration form issued by the Town Council of residence of the entire family unit, obtained within the three months immediately prior to the date of application. Children under six months are not required to be listed.

Minors in a situation of guardianship, permanent fostering, pre-adoption or guardianship will be recognized as one more child in the family structure, with the same principles governing, even in the exceptions (such as disability).
The person(s) in charge of guardianship or permanent or pre-adoptive foster care is equated to the condition of parent.
The coexistence of minors who were in foster care and who, upon reaching the age of 18, continue in the family unit and depend on it, will be valued.

single parent

Application signed by THE PARENT requesting title of large families
Photocopy of the DNI of parents and children over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book where the birth of the children is recorded and, if applicable or otherwise, a copy of the certificates and the birth of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation, if it exists in the State of which they are nationals. This documentation must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with an apostille from The Hague and an official translation into Spanish.

If the children are recognized by the other parent (who will not appear on the certificate), a document from the parent must be provided stating that they are aware of this request and a photocopy of their DNI/NIE. If this is not possible, your contact details must be provided.
A copy of the supporting documentation must be provided where the parent-child measures are stated and, where appropriate, a responsible statement stating such extreme. For these purposes, only the strictly necessary content will be required to verify the concurrence of the necessary requirements to obtain the large family title.

According to current legislation, no one can be counted in two units recognized as large families, so children cannot be in 2 titles issued, each one in charge of a parent. Children over 18 years of age will decide for themselves and minors will be governed by the agreement of the parents or the principle of coexistence, which will be demonstrated with official documentation (judicial resolution, legal agreement)

Divorced parents

Application signed by THE PARENT requesting title of large families.
Photocopy of the DNI of parents and children over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). - A CUSTODIAN PARENT must provide a copy of the supporting documentation stating the parent-child measures and, where appropriate, a responsible statement stating such extreme. For these purposes, only the strictly necessary content will be required to verify the concurrence of the necessary requirements to obtain the large family title.
- NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT: A copy of the supporting documentation must be provided where the parent-child measures are stated and, where appropriate, a responsible statement stating such extreme. For these purposes, only the strictly necessary content will be required to verify the concurrence of the necessary requirements to obtain the large family title.
  - They must submit a document from the custodial parent stating that they are aware of the inclusion of the minor children in the title, together with a copy of the DNI, or provide the name and address of the person with custody to inform them of the existence of said request.
- SHARED CUSTODY: agreement between parents on ownership and validity times of the large family title (failing that, each holder will have the title valid for one year, correlatively) and DNI of both, or provide the name and address of the other parent custodian to inform you of the existence of such a request.
- IN ALL CASES: if you do not have separation, divorce or regulatory agreement documents, you will have to prove, through other legalized documents, that you have been entrusted with custody of your children (example: in the case of foreigners, the permission of the government authorities to leaving the country of origin with their children; court ruling on parental-child measures; ruling on gender-based violence).

new union family

Application signed by THE PARENT requesting title of large families.
Documentation accrediting the new conjugal bond (family book or marriage certificate legalized in Spain)
Photocopy of the DNI of parents and children over 14 years of age. - CUSTODIAL PARENT Copy of court ruling and/or regulatory agreement where custody of the children is determined.
- NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT
  - A copy of the supporting documentation must be provided where the parent-child measures are stated and, where appropriate, a responsible statement stating such extreme. For these purposes, only the strictly necessary content will be required to verify the concurrence of the necessary requirements to obtain the title of large family.
  - They must submit a document from the custodial parent stating that they are aware of the inclusion of the minor children in the title, together with a copy of the DNI, or provide the name and address of the person with custody to inform them of the existence of said request.
- SHARED CUSTODY: In addition to supporting documentation on custody, agreement between parents on ownership and validity times of the large family title (failing that, each holder will have the title valid for one year, correlatively) and DNI of both, or provide the name and address of the other custodial parent to inform them of the existence of such a request.
- IN BOTH CASES: If you do not have separation or divorce documents, you will have to prove, through other legalized documents, that you have been entrusted with custody of your children (eg: in the case of foreigners, permission from the government authorities to leave the country of origin with your children). children; judicial sentence on filial paternal measures; complaints of gender-based violence).
  
  Children may not appear in 2 titles at the same time. If there is no agreement between the parents, the coexistence criterion will operate

Family with orphaned siblings

Application signed by guardians or member of the family unit with legal capacity (child of legal age).

Legal documentation on guardianship exercised by one of the siblings, if there are minors.
If any of the siblings had a disability: resolution of the degree of disability in force (CCAA) or certificate of incapacity for work from Social Security. The recognized degree of disability must be equal to or greater than 33% in the children. Those over 21 years of age passive pension certificate or working life report.

It will be considered that they can be large families

2 brothers orphaned by father and mother, subject to guardianship, foster care or guardianship, who live with the guardian, foster or guardian, but who are not at their expense. The tutor, host, or guardian, will not be included in the title of large family, as they are not considered a member of the family unit.
3 brothers orphaned by father and mother, over 18 years of age, who live together and have an economic dependency on each other.
2 brothers orphans of father and mother, over 18 years of age, who live together and have an economic dependency on each other, when one of the brothers is disabled.

Family with adoption, foster care or multiple birth

Application signed by one of the parents, guardians or member of the family unit with legal capacity (child of legal age).
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book where the birth of the children and, if applicable, the marriage or, failing that, a copy of the marriage and birth certificates of the children is recorded. Multiple births are considered when the number of children born or adopted or fostered at the same time is always greater than two. To these effects:

Those who meet the conditions expressed in article 30 of the Civil Code will be understood as born: "Personality is acquired at the time of live birth, once the entire detachment from the womb has occurred."
If any of the children were affected by a disability equal to or greater than 33%, it will compute double.

Family with a member with a disability

Application signed by one of the parents or guardians or a member of the family unit with legal capacity (child of legal age).
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens. In the case of foreign citizens: Photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book stating the birth of the children and, if applicable, the marriage or, failing that, a copy of the marriage and birth certificates of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Copy of the Resolution of Degree of Disability in force (CC AA) or Certificate of Disability for work from Social Security.
The recognized degree of disability must be equal to or greater than 33% in the children.
In the case of ascendants, at least one must have a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 65%, and if it is both, 33%, or be unable to work

The Law of Large Families 40/2003 determines that:

One or two ascendants with two children, whether they are common or not, provided that at least one of these is disabled or unable to work.
Two ascendants, when both were disabled, or, at least, one of them had a degree of disability equal to or greater than 65 percent, or were unable to work, with two children, whether or not they are common.
Each disabled child or incapable of working will count as two in the title to determine the category in which the family unit of which he is a part is classified.
The Law determines that it is considered "incapacitated to work", who has reduced his capacity for work to a degree equivalent to that of ABSOLUTE PERMANENT DISABILITY OR GREAT DISABILITY
The consultation may be authorized by the Administration of the DNI/NIE and degree of disability.

Renewal of the Large Family Title

The large family title remains valid from its application until the expiration date, which corresponds to the moment in which the conditions that gave rise to its issuance change.

With the Law 26/2015, of July 28, modifying the protection system for children and adolescents, a significant reform of the large family condition has been introduced, which extends the validity of the title as long as one of the children continues to meet the legally established requirements to appear on it.

There is an obligation to communicate any variation that occurs in the family in the maximum term of 3 months.

Below we describe the most frequent cases of renewal:

Renewal due to changes in the Large Family category

Application signed by one of the parents, guardians or member of the family unit with legal capacity.
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Documentation by which the change of category can be certified:
- By income: photocopy of personal income tax, or income allocation certificate, for the fiscal year immediately prior to the date of the application and working life of persons over 16 years of age, together with the corresponding payroll, if applicable. If there are disabled children over 21 years of age, certificate of passive pensions and work life report along with the corresponding payroll, if applicable, and certificate of any other benefit of an economic nature.
- Due to increase in members of the family unit: fotcopy of the family book where the birth of the new member is recorded or, failing that, a copy of the birth certificate. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation from the State of which they are nationals. This documentation must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with an apostille from The Hague and an official translation into Spanish.
Children with a degree of disability greater than 33% will count as two to determine the category in which the family unit of which they are part is classified. Document accrediting the degree of disability and those over 21 years of age, certificate of passive pensions or work life report.
Valid certificate or certificate of registration issued by the Municipality of residence of the entire family unit at the same address, without prejudice to the provisions of the cases established for temporary separation, obtained at most, within the three months immediately prior to the date of registration. request. Children under six months are not required to be listed.

Renewal due to change of address

Application signed by one of the parents, guardians or member of the family unit with legal capacity.
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: Photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Certificate or certificate of registration in force for the entire family unit of the new address without prejudice to the provisions of the assumptions established for temporary separation of the one issued by the City Council of residence of the entire family unit, obtained at most, within the three months immediately prior to the application date.

Failure to communicate a change of address may result in the non-perception of benefits on the family home (eg: discount on IBI, discounts on water or energy)

Renewals for registering a new member

Application signed by one of the parents, guardians or member of the family unit with legal capacity.
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the family book stating the birth of the children and, if applicable, the marriage or, failing that, a copy of the marriage and birth certificates of the children. In the event that the members of the family appear in different family books, a copy of all of them will be provided. Those who do not hold Spanish nationality must provide similar documentation, if it exists in the State of which they are nationals. This documentation must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with an apostille from The Hague and an official translation into Spanish.
Certificate or valid registration document for any family unit in the same address without prejudice to the provisions established in the cases established for temporary separation issued by the City Council of residence, obtained at most within the three months immediately prior to the date of application . Children under six months are not required to appear.

Renewal due to review of degree of disability

Application signed by one of the parents, guardians or member of the family unit with legal capacity.
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Photocopy of the review of degree of disability or inability to work. Children with a degree of disability greater than 33% will count as two to determine the category in which the family unit of which they are part is classified.
In case of disability, they must present a photocopy of the current supporting certificate or a photocopy of the card certifying the degree of disability (those over 21 years of age, passive pension certificate or work life report).
Valid certificate or registration form issued by the Town Council of residence of the entire family unit, obtained within the three months immediately prior to the date of application. Children under six months are not required to be listed.

A large family is considered to be one made up of:

One or two ascendants with two children, whether they are common or not, provided that at least one of these is disabled or unable to work.
Two ascendants, when both were disabled, or, at least, one of them had a degree of disability equal to or greater than 65 percent, or were unable to work, with two children, whether or not they are common.
Each disabled child or child unable to work will count as two to determine the category in which the family unit of which they are a part is classified. (article 4.3).
The consultation by the Administration of the degree of disability may be authorized.

Renewal due to termination of a member

Application signed by one of the parents or guardians.
Photocopy of the DNI of all members of the family unit over 14 years of age. In the case of foreign citizens: photocopy of the valid NIE of all members or certificate of registration in the register of EU citizens or valid residence permit (see FOREIGN RESIDENT FAMILY file). In the case of an expired residence permit, a copy of the extension request made within the legally established period must be provided.
Legal documentation certifying the withdrawal (eg: divorce decree, death certificate).
Certificate or valid registration form for the entire family unit at the same address, without prejudice to the provisions of the cases established for temporary separation, issued by the City Council of residence of the entire family unit, obtained within three months at most. immediately prior to the application date. Children under six months are not required to be listed.
Delivery of the original large family title

Any change in the number of members of the family unit recognized as a large family must be reported. In this way, the title will maintain its correct validity for the bonus of the aid destined to this group.

How to download the Large Families title in the App?

This App allows you to store and download the Large Family Title and the Individual Card on your mobile phone, with the same validity that physical cards had until now. What is this App for?

This mobile application aims to achieve, mainly, the following objectives:

Cover a new demand of the citizen, with a tendency to use the mobile device for all their personal procedures.
Go one step further towards the elimination of paper and other physical supports, which will mean economic savings and an environmental improvement.
Improve the information channel from the administration to the citizen, including an agile notification system with messages on the mobile device.
For the installation of this APP, the number of the Large Family Title, the expiration date and the DNI will be requested. The citizen will be able to consult both the status of the renewal application as well as the history of renewals and modifications that have been made throughout the validity of their large family title.

You will also have the possibility of downloading a certificate stating said history and the title and the individual cards of a large family.

Also, directly from the app you can consult news of interest related to large families and receive notifications regarding your large family title or information of general interest on this subject.

With the implementation of this new service by the Community of Madrid, an improvement in the service to citizens is sought, since it allows them to optionally carry the Large Family identification card on their mobile. A more comfortable way to authenticate and with the same guarantees offered by the physical card.
