Students participating in the admission process
The following students must participate in the admission process and submit an application for admission for the 2023/2024 academic year:
- Those who wish to access for the first time centers that provide Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) or Primary Education or Special Education centers supported with public funds in the 2023/2024 academic year.
- Those who wish to access centers supported by public funds that provide Compulsory Secondary Education, and any of the Baccalaureate modalities.
- Those who request a school place in the Linguistic Sections in French or German in Secondary Education Institutes, except for those who come from public schools with a single affiliation and who are authorized to teach the French or German language programme, respectively.
- Those who wish to apply for a Primary Education or Secondary Education center other than the one that corresponds to them by single affiliation.
- Students enrolled in centers with multiple affiliation to other educational centers and who have to change centers for the 2023/2024 academic year. To obtain a place in one of the affiliated centers it is essential that these students present an application for admission. In it, they can include affiliated centers in order of preference and they can also include in their request centers other than those of affiliation. In the event that the student does not submit an application for admission, being obliged to do so, the Schooling Support Services (SAE) will assign a school place to these students in the final phase of the admission process.
- Those who wish to change centers at any of the levels and teachings within the scope of application of this Resolution.
Actions prior to the student admission process
► Information for families (Admission Process course 2023/2024)
- Prior to the start of the process of submitting student admission applications for the 2023/2024 school year, all centers supported by public funds must make the following information public through their website so that families have access to the same:
a) The educational project of the center that includes, where appropriate, its own character.
b) Rules of organization, operation and coexistence.
c) The educational programs, including complementary and extracurricular activities, indicating those that are habitual, the personal and material resources that the center has to facilitate the educational attention of its students, as well as the complementary services of the center, that appear in the annual general programming of the current course, as well as the information related to the activities that appear in the memory of the previous course.
d) The basic information on the admission process including the offer of vacancies, the criteria approved by the center for the award of the complementary point and the location of the Schooling Support Service that corresponds to the center.
e) Other information of interest about the center.
- Prior to the start of the period for submitting applications for admission, families will be able to obtain information about the admission process and the affiliated centers through the Virtual Secretariat and the Web page of educational centers.
- In the case of public schools, each center will inform the families of the students who are in the 6th year of Primary Education about the attached Secondary Schools, as appropriate in each case, so that the families can decide whether to use of said priority for the admission process for the 2023/2024 academic year.

- Place reservation request of students in the 6th year of Primary Education from Public Schools with a Teaching Program in French/German with a single affiliation to IES with linguistic sections in French/German.
- Request for seat reservation of students from Public Centers who are in the 4th year of ESO and have only affiliation to an IES that teaches Baccalaureate.
► Complementary documentation for use by educational centers:
- Students of 6th year of Primary Education in Public Schools with a Teaching Program in French or German who wish to continue their teaching in Compulsory Secondary Education in the Institute of single affiliation that has a Linguistic Section in French or German.
- Students enrolled in 4th year of ESO in Public Centers that have only affiliation to HEIs that teach Baccalaureate.

►Throughout the admission process, it will be made public through the Virtual Secretariat, the following information, on the dates that appear in the Calendar of Actions for the Ordinary Student Admission Process for the 2023/2024 Course as well as the modification of the calendar
- Educational offer of each center in the stages supported with public funds before beginning the period for submitting and recording applications. This information can also be obtained through the web page of the centres.
- Alphabetical list of applications received, which will only include applicants who have submitted their application to the center in first choice. It will be displayed after the request recording is finished.
- Provisional scaled list of applicant students in the center, whether they have requested it in the first option or if they have requested it in other options. Where appropriate, it will collect the result of the claims submitted to the list of requests received. It will include the global score, being able to consult the score broken down for each section through the Virtual Secretariat.
- Definitive list with the assessments of the applicant students once the possible claims presented by the families have been resolved. It will include the global score, being able to consult the score broken down for each section through the Virtual Secretariat.
- Result of the allocation and automatic relocation of students in each center. It includes all the applicants admitted to the center, whether they applied in the first option or if they applied in another order of priority and have obtained a place in the center.
- Dissemination through the respective Schooling Support Services of the lists of allocation of school places to students not admitted to any of the requested centers and who had to be enrolled in the Education Support Services.

Scale and criteria
► The assessment of the request is carried out by the requested center in the first option, who will apply the common criteria admission and also specific criteria that are applicable to the center.
In addition, the centers requested in the second and following options will also scale specific criteria applicable to each center.
Common criteria for rating purposes are those whose score does not vary for the different centers included in the application:
- condition of recipient of the Minimum Income Insertion (RMI) or the Minimum Vital Income (IMV).
- condition of large family,
- condition of born in multiple birth.
- condition of single parent family.
- condition student in foster care.
- condition of disability of the applicant student, parents, siblings or legal guardians.
- condition of victim of gender violence or terrorism.
The specific criteria, whose score may vary for each center, are as follows:
- Enrolled siblings in the middle.
- Proximity of the family or work address to the center.
- Pparents or legal guardians who work in the requested center.
- Former student status of the student himself, of the parents, legal guardians or of any of the applicant's siblings, in the center for which he is applying for a place.
- Complementary criterion that allows the School Council or owner of the center to assign additional points.
Clarification. Regarding the admission of students in bilingual institutes in English language: La Resolution of July 31, 2013, of the General Directorate for the Improvement of the Quality of Teaching establishes that in the case of students from non-bilingual public schools in the Community of Madrid or from any other origin, who apply for a place in bilingual HEIs in English and who wish to study in the Bilingual Section, they need to accredit a level of English in the four skills equivalent to level B1 to study 1st and 2nd ESO, and to level B2 to study 3rd and 4th ESO.

Completion and submission of applications

In order to facilitate and speed up the admission process, the application for admission may be submitted de TELEMATIC FORM through the Virtual Secretariat; for it need to have digital certificate, or enter the electronic identification system cl @ ve: register in the computer system, or through the validation of credentials of the Roble/Raíces application.
Only one application for admission may be submitted for each student.
In those cases in which the application for admission is not submitted electronically, it must always be addressed to the requested educational center in the first place. However, it can be delivered in person at said center, at the corresponding Schooling Support Service or at the places authorized for it. It should be taken into account:
- The application form consists of an information sheet and three carbonless copies. The application will be rendered useless if it remains folded while it is being filled out or if any annotation is made on paper placed on said form.
- The admission application must be signed by both fathers, mothers or legal guardians of the student, except if the impossibility of doing so is proven or one of them does not have parental authority, in which case the appropriate declaration of responsibility must be presented.
- In applications for admission to Baccalaureate, only one Baccalaureate modality and pathway may be included.
- The application to participate in the ordinary process of admission of students may be OBTAINED in any center supported with public funds, in the headquarters of the Schooling support services (SAE) or, through the internet in this Web page and once completed you must make three copies.
- In addition to the center requested in the first option, up to five educational centers supported with public funds in which admission is requested may be included in a prioritized manner.

1.- Bilingual Institutes. Clarification. Regarding the admission of students to bilingual schools in English: Order 972/2017, of April 7, of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports establishes that in the case of students from non-bilingual public schools in the Community of Madrid or from any other origin, who apply for a place in bilingual HEIs in English and who wish to study in the Bilingual Section, need to accredit a level of English in the four skills equivalent to level B1 to study 1st and 2nd ESO, and at the level B2 to study 3rd and 4th of ESO.
