The Data Protection Officer (DPD)
What is it?
El Data Protection Officer (DPD) is responsible for ensuring your rights in terms of data protection. It is a figure created by regulations, mandatory in all Public Administrations. In the Community of Madrid, each Ministry and some institutional bodies and entities (for example, Metro de Madrid or the Social Housing Agency) have a DPD or administrative unit that exercises its powers.
Functions
Among the functions of the DPD of the Community of Madrid are the advice to those responsible and in charge of the treatment in everything related to the protection of personal data, including the exercise of the rights of the interested parties, the supervision of compliance with the regulations in of data protection and the awareness and training of public employees of the Community in this area.
You can also consult them about any information you need or doubts you have in relation to the protection of personal data that is being processed in the Community of Madrid. Likewise, they intervene in the claims that you make in this matter.
In the Community of Madrid, the Working Group for the protection of personal data, as a body for deliberation, consultation, participation and coordination of the Ministries of the Community of Madrid, including their linked or dependent institutional entities, in order to guarantee a uniform and homogeneous action of all of them in matters that are common to them related to protection of data.
