Madrid Metro Line 3

Here you will find information on the actions carried out by the Community of Madrid since its creation, on this Line.

The expansion towards the south began with the approval in 1932 of the construction of a new layout that would link the center with the Lavapiés and Embajadores nuclei.

The first section of Line 3, Embajadores-Lavapiés-Sol, was inaugurated on August 9, 1936. The Sol-Argüelles section on July 16, 1941. The Embajadores-Delicias section on March 26, 1949 and the Delicias- Legazpi on March 2, 1951.
