Promotion of sport among Madrid university students
Madrid University Championships
The Madrid University Championships encourage the promotion of sports practice among university students in the region. The Community of Madrid organizes, coordinates and finances a competition that integrates different sports and modalities, either individually or as a team.
All Madrid universities are represented, both public and private, which compete through their men's and women's teams in individual and team sports. It is completed with two cross country and beach volleyball circuits.
The competition is held at the sports campuses of each university, which, together with the rivalry of the teams in the leagues and circuits, make it a benchmark in Madrid's university life.
Cross University Circuit
El Cross University Circuit It is made up of different "cross-country" events organized by each of the Madrid universities in collaboration with the Madrid Athletics Federation (FAM). It combines races on asphalt, dirt or mixed with distances ranging from 3.000 m to 8.000 m, depending on the different categories.
Beach volleyball circuit
The university beach volleyball circuit is made up of 5 tests four of which are held at Madrid universities -Alcalá, Autónoma, Carlos III and Complutense- and one at the Puerta de Hierro Sports Park facilities.
It develops on a date to be determined and is divided into two categories, Male y feminine.
