ESA BIC Project

The ESA BIC Community of Madrid is co-financed 50% by the ESA and by the Community of Madrid, through its Ministry of Economy, Employment and Finance.
Financing via ESA has been guaranteed through the Spanish delegation to ESA, made up of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism through its General Secretariat for Industry and Small and Medium Enterprises, and by the Center for Development Industrial Technology (CDTI).
The ESA BIC Comunidad de Madrid provides financial and technical-business support incentives to eight business projects each year:
- 50.000 euros in two years: 50% for the development of prototypes, software development, etc. 50% earmarked for new employment linked to product or market development.
- Access to the European network of ESA BICs coordinated by the ESA-TTPO.
- Technical support by the partners of the Program for the development of products, software and prototypes.
- Advice and specific mentoring for new companies.
- International contacts.
- Support in the search for financing.
Participation requirements:
- Having an entrepreneurial project or a startup with less than 5 years of life that uses space technologies or that develops applications based on these technologies in order to create new products and services.
- Following the indications and conditions of participation set out in the call opened (download link below).
- Having a high-growth potential.
- Registered office of the company in the Community of Madrid, in one of the four incubators linked to the Program, a maximum of 6 months after the start of their participation in the program. Incubators: Montegancedo Business Center (UPM), Leganés Tecnológico Business Incubator (UC3M), Madrid Science Park (PCM) and Móstoles Business Incubator (URJC).

Plan Re. A plan to Re/emerge with more force
Re Plan is a program that aims to serve SMEs and self-employed professionals in difficulty. In this program you will find free and confidential advice, for prevention, recovery and second chance, with the aim of overcoming critical phases in the development of your company.
Those entrepreneurs or self-employed professionals based in the Community of Madrid who are in financial, legal, commercial or other difficulties, will be able to access this specialized advice program free of charge.
- Application for participation. The legal representative of the company or self-employed professional requests to participate in the Program, following the steps described in the section “HOW TO REQUEST REGISTRATION IN THE PROGRAM”.
- Contact with the interested party. An advisor from the Program will contact the interested party by phone to arrange a first personal interview. The advisor will inform you of the necessary documents for the first interview, and will ask some questions to determine the situation of the company.
- First personal interview. The objective of the first interview is to know and diagnose the personal situation of the employer and that of the company, by collecting information that allows determining what type of advice the interested party may need (fiscal, legal, psychological, financial, marketing, etc. .). This first interview will be carried out by advisers from the Community of Madrid.
- Specialized professional consultancy. Once the case has been analyzed and the type of support necessary has been determined, an appointment will be made with one of the specialized consultants to continue the counseling process.
Self-employed professionals and legal managers of SMEs (companies between 1 and 250 workers) based in the Community of Madrid and whose business or company is experiencing difficulties may participate in this Program.
The person interested in participating in the program will complete a participation request form, which specifies the levels of responsibility and confidentiality that the parties involved in the process assume.
The Community of Madrid will not use the data or information provided beyond the scope and objective of the Program, which is to support the company or business in difficulty. The privacy and confidentiality of the data will be guaranteed., which will not be used for purposes other than those provided for in the Program.
Throughout the process, both to verify the conditions of access to the service and to guarantee its effectiveness, the interested party must provide the documentation and information necessary for a correct diagnosis and effective treatment of the case.
