
AMAPAD
Madrid Agency for the Support of Adults with Disabilities
The Madrid Agency for the Support of Adults with Disabilities (hereinafter, AMAPAD) is a public law entity dedicated to supporting adults with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity in the Community of Madrid. It replaces the extinct Madrid Agency for the Guardianship of Adults (AMTA).
AMAPAD's mission is to promote autonomy and assistance to adults with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity, for which the Agency is designated. One of its main purposes is the inexcusable exercise of guardianship of adults with disabilities residing in the Community of Madrid, under the terms established by the Civil Code, when so determined by the competent judicial authority, with the ethical commitment to support the exercise of their rights and their full citizenship.

The Code of Good Practices is a basic tool for all professionals of the Madrid Agency for the Support of Adults with Disabilities, as well as for any other professional from outside the Agency that requires it.
