The Community of Madrid achieves a labor insertion rate of almost 80% in its Training Center for Employment in Paracuellos de Jarama
The Community of Madrid has achieved an employability percentage of 78% at the Paracuellos de Jarama Employment Training Center, specifically in the Skid Steer Loader Operator course. In these facilities, 43 different specialties are taught, nine of which are offered for the first time this year.
The Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment, Javier Fernández-Lasquetty, today visited this complex, a national reference (CRN), where the actions are focused on "improving the professional training of people through free, personalized teaching, specialized and in permanent contact with the business fabric”.
Fernández-Lasquetty has witnessed some of the activities that are carried out there, such as driving simulators to learn to drive construction machinery or practices in real vehicles in the open field. The regional government is going to allocate more than 3,2 million euros to this center in the 2022-2024 period, which represents an increase of 43% compared to the previous period, with 148 courses and 2.205 places.
The counselor explained that the increase in the budget allocation will allow "new technologies to be incorporated, such as educational simulators and drone technology, adapting it to the changes that are continuously produced in the construction sector and to the new demands demanded by the working market". The objective is, he has added, "to adapt to the demand of the companies so that the students have better opportunities to find a job as soon as possible".
Fernández-Lasquetty has taken stock of the activity in the five CRNs in the region that have trained almost 7.000 people in 2022. The Community of Madrid has, in addition to Paracuellos (Building and Civil Works), others focused on Cold and Air Conditioning (Madrid); Information and Communication Technologies (Getafe); Administration, Insurance and Finance (Madrid), and Electricity, Electronics and Aeronautics (Leganés).
63% labor insertion with the Certificate of Professionalism
The counselor has also made reference to the main data from the 2020-2021 report on the Labor Insertion of Professional Certificates in the Community of Madrid, which reflects that 62,8% of students who obtain this accreditation in all centers (17.939) enters the labor market. Of these, 70,1% sign the first contract in the first six months after finishing the course.
