Renovation of the Newspaper Library
A new stage for the Newspaper Library service after a phase of inventory, maintenance, dissemination and access to its collection
Lines of work
Since last year 2020, the Newspaper Library of the Documentation Center for the Environment and Territory Planning has been carrying out an important inventory, maintenance and dissemination project of its collections.
This project keeps several lines of work open in parallel: the cataloging and correction of bibliographic records of some 130 titles, the emptying of articles in the catalogue, the maintenance of the collection, its digitization (more than 16.500 scanned copies and ordered in a repository of the Center), and the selection and incorporation of new titles to the collection.
The idea stems from the need to improve user access to these materials, from the on-line catalogue until your physical consultation in the Centro, as well as to improve the presentation and conservation of the collections of the Newspaper Library.
