Guide to request the CAP Card
Any questions about files in progress must be dealt with in person or from the application itself through which the process has started, as well as through the electronic notifications that are issued with respect to it.

CAP Card Application

The request for a driver qualification card – hereinafter CAP Card – is made only electronically through the Electronic Office of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, at the following link:
Before starting your application, please take into account the following information:
- You must request the card when your degree and/or course have been validated: The CAP Card will reflect the dates of the titles validated at the time of request. CAP certificate
From April 20, 2021 CAP Certificates are not issued, since it has been replaced by an annotation in the Registry of Transport Companies and Activities - REAT, according to Royal Decree 284/2021, of April 20, which regulates the initial qualification and continuous training of drivers of certain vehicles intended for road transport.

Status of your request
There is no information by phone about the status of CAP Card files given that the identity of the person making the query, the privacy and the integrity of the communications cannot be guaranteed.
It is recalled that the Information Service on Transport Authorizations does not have access to the data of ongoing files.

If your CAP Card appears as issued / terminated several dates ago but you have not received notice, please verify the contact information and that the alerts arrive.

How to provide documentation and correct files
To add documentation to your file, you must follow these steps:
- Access the Electronic Headquarters of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, "Management of the training of professional drivers (CAP)".
- Access the list of applications / files in "File Management".
- A list of open files will appear, as well as a list of files pending correction.

Modification of CAP Card data
If you detect errors in the data of a CAP Card or in the student data uploaded to the system, You must start a data modification file in the Electronic Headquarters of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, "Management of the training of professional drivers (CAP)".
In case of want to correct a CAP Card:
- Request a data change file / issuance of the CAP Card.

In case of want to correct student data without CAP Card:
- Request a student data change file.
- This file does not carry a fee.

- Once the data has been changed, you can request the CAP Card later with the correct data.
If it is not possible to modify directly on the application a specific piece of information, provide the electronic file with a document requesting said change together with the documentation that justifies your request.
After 3 to 5 days from your request, access the Electronic Office to check if your application has been accepted.
Withdrawal of your CAP Card
For withdrawal of issued CAP Cards follow these instructions.
