
Madrid Metro Line 2
Here you will find information on the actions carried out by the Community of Madrid since its creation on this Line.
On June 16, 1924, the first section from Sol to Ventas was inaugurated, to cover the eastern area of Madrid and the Plaza de Toros under construction with a potential of more than 25.000 passengers. The continuation of this line to Quevedo was put into operation in October of the following year. A few months later, on September 10, 1929, the Quevedo-Cuatro Caminos section came into service, facilitating the correspondence with Line 1 at this station.
