Authorizations for public health transport (VS) and complementary private (VSPC)

They enable you to transport sick and injured people in ambulances.

The authorization of public health transport (VS) is necessary to carry out medical transport by ambulance throughout the national territory, carrying it out on behalf of others through financial compensation.

Likewise, the authorization for private complementary health transport (VSPC) is necessary to carry out medical transport by ambulance throughout the national territory as a necessary or appropriate complement for the correct development of your main activity, and which cannot be contracted or billed independently. .

General Information

The Administration grants a company authorization to which you can assign vehicles in compliance with the requirements that are determined.

You must have a fiscal domicile in the Community of Madrid or, exceptionally, an establishment located therein when you justify a main activity other than medical transport and, as a consequence, have your fiscal domicile where you carry out it. In the event of carrying out complementary medical transport, a place or facility in which you carry out the part of your main activity in relation to which it is necessary for you to carry out complementary transport and, consequently, have your fiscal domicile where you carry out the main activity.

With these authorizations you can carry out transport throughout the national territory.

Authorization Requirements

What requirements must be met - Authorizations VS?

As holder:

You will have to be a natural or legal person with Spanish nationality or from a Member State of the European Union.

Your vehicles:

You will need to have at least five vehicles not older than ten years from its first registration, under ownership, financial lease or ordinary lease, provided with the corresponding technical-sanitary certification.

In addition, you must:

Comply with the fiscal, labor and social obligations required by current legislation.
Have an address and electronic signature, as well as the necessary computer equipment to remotely document the contract and other commercial formalities with their clients.
Have an address located in the place where the authorization is domiciled, which is kept, at the disposal of the Transport Inspection, the documents related to its management and operation.
In towns with more than 20.000 inhabitants, have, at all times, a place other than your private address, open to the public, in the place where the authorization is domiciled.
Have civil liability coverage for damages that you may cause during transport.

You can replace them with others that you own, financial lease or ordinary lease, provided with the corresponding technical-sanitary certification in force.

Vehicles may not continue to be used for medical transport when they are more than ten years old, counted from their first registration.
