Samples will be delivered to the Food Laboratory, only on weekdays, from 9:00 to 14:00, in person or through a transport/courier company.

In this document contains the requirements that the samples must meet, information about the procedure and the list of analyzes and their prices.

If you send the samples by transport/courier company, you must complete and attach to them this analysis request.

The results will be sent by e-mail or can be picked up at the Laboratory during the hours indicated above.

At the Animal Reproduction and Selection Center, CENSYRA.

In bovine, ovine and caprine species, the following analyzes are carried out:

• Genomic DNA extraction from whole blood samples.
• PCR: amplification of DNA fragments. Species-specific DNA microsatellite panels are used.
• Genotyping: a profile or genotype is obtained for each individual, for the microsatellites analyzed.
• Paternity Exclusion Test: it is based on the comparison of the genotype of an offspring with that of the alleged parents.

The samples will be delivered directly to the Genetic Analysis Laboratory, attaching the sample entry sheet previous communication to the person in charge of the laboratory.

At the Animal Reproduction and Selection Center, CENSYRA.

Samples are analyzed:

• Official Dairy Control of cattle, sheep and goats, as the main activity.
• Official inspections included in milk quality control programs at origin.
• Individuals, sent by farmers, veterinarians, laboratories, etc.

In all of them, the content of Fat, Protein, Lactose, Total Dry Extract and the Count of somatic cells (automatic analysis) are determined with instrumental methods, and in some the Cryoscopic Point or freezing point of the milk (manual analysis).

The samples will be delivered directly to the CENSYRA Milk Laboratory, attaching the sample entry sheet.

• Molecular identification of grape varieties.
• Molecular identification of grapevine rootstocks.

Samples must meet the conditions specified in the Application Form.

Once completed, at least 24 hours before sending the samples, send it in Word format to lab.genotyping-vid@madrid.org, and then attach the paper copy to the samples. The reception of samples in the laboratory will be from Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m.

The analyzes will preferably be carried out using young vine leaves that have recently sprouted, although it can also be considered starting from shoots or bunches of rachis.

The analyzes are carried out under the UNE:EN/ISO/IEC 17:025 standard. You can check what the specific methods are in Specific conditions for carrying out the tests (The document is also in the Additional Information section).

• Take the sample before watering.
• First you have to remove any grass that covers the ground. A sample should be taken from the root zone and 8 to 10 samples should be taken per area.
• The different samples must be thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous and representative sample is obtained.
• Take approximately 1 kg of sample to the laboratory.
