Applied Research and Agricultural Extension
IMIDRA carries out research and scientific-technical activities related to soil and its erosion, herbaceous crops, olive growing, plant health, and social aspects of rural development.
In the Applied Research and Agricultural Extension Area We identified the types of soil in our region and tested the use of plant covers to prevent erosion, we tested new commercial varieties of cereals, we investigated olive growing production systems and integrated pest control. We also study social aspects of rural development.
Our plant health laboratory offers diagnostic services for crop pests and diseases. It is the official laboratory to support the surveillance, control and inspection actions in plant health of the Community of Madrid.
We are the technical managers of the service Madrid Rural-Madrid Agroconsultant.
