European information networks in the Community of Madrid

EUROPE DIRECT information centers are local contact points. They inform and answer questions of all kinds on European issues in person, taking into account the local context. They have qualified personnel who maintain contact with citizens by organizing events in schools, debates with local and regional politicians, and presentations at fairs and exhibitions. They collect more than a million queries a year, which are used by European policy makers to find out directly about the needs and concerns of citizens.

In Eurydice Spain - rediE, two information networks come together. Eurydice promotes European cooperation and serves for the exchange of descriptive information on the organization and functioning of education systems and national education policies. rediE operates as a territorial cooperation mechanism at the service of the State educational administrations with the same purpose as Eurydice.

It is an initiative of Europe Direct, a pioneer in the European Union, whose objective is to respond to the community information needs of citizens and make them participants in the European construction project. The Centers of interest on training and employment in the EU emerge as a platform for dissemination and information on this matter, in which different materials are made available to citizens and neighbors such as job offers, calls, initiatives, documents of interest and news that are sent weekly. Practical Sheets are made available monthly with basic information for job search or training in Europe and in the EU institutions.
