Oratory and critical thinking workshop
We present a workshop that seeks to enhance the personal and academic development of ESO and 1st Baccalaureate students from public and subsidized schools.
How do we do it? Working on reflection and critical thinking and the construction of one's own, convincing and attractive discourse.
About the activity
Contents:
- Effective communication: importance of communication, differences between convincing and persuading, assertive communication
- Concept and levels of communication, non-verbal communication, gesture and body language and cultural influences
- Construction of an attractive and well-structured speech
- Introduction to the debate: structure of the academic debate, active and empathic listening
Dates and duration: 4 sessions will be agreed with the educational center between 2 5 October to December 2023. Each session will last for 50 minutes.
Location: in the educational center. We need the classroom to have a computer, a projector, internet connection and functional speakers.

Cryptocurrencies: pros and cons
This activity aims to disseminate the 'crypto world', from a critical perspective, but at the same time constructive to help young people understand the advantages and, above all, the risks of investing in crypto assets.
In this conference, young people will be able to analyze and reflect on what crypto assets are and what they are for, as well as understand the risks involved in speculation with them and thus avoid falling into fraud.

Participants: students of 4th ESO, Baccalaureate and/or Vocational Training and/or similar from public and subsidized centers in the Community of Madrid. The number of participants will depend on whether the educational center has a large space such as the assembly hall that allows different classes to come together, a maximum of 90 for each session, approximately.
Duration: 1h 15 minutes, (1h session + 15min questions)
Dates and hours: October 6, 20 and 27 and November 14,16, 21, 23 and 9. The sessions will be at 12 a.m. and 23 p.m., except on November 9, which will only be held at XNUMX a.m. However, the schedule will be determined with the center.

Participants: A maximum of 35 students of 4th ESO from public and subsidized centers in the Community of Madrid.

About bullying, addictions, emotion management, conflict resolution, use of screens and social networks. An active and participatory methodology will be used to involve the students in the training session.

Education in good use of screens and social networks
With this talk, students are challenged to learn how to make healthier and more responsible use of screens and social networks. During this workshop you will be offered different resources and ideas that enhance your talents and skills. Through participatory dynamics, critical, ethical, reflective and careful thinking will be encouraged, adapting to the different ages of the participating students.
For the elderly, the role of technology and social networks will also be addressed in order to improve their professional competence both digitally and personally.

Behavioral addictions: Gambling
When talking about addictions, you almost always think of drugs and alcohol. However, there are other additions without substance. The workshop will focus on compulsive gambling as one of them.
With this program, real content adapted to adolescence related to the most common behavioral additions in the younger population is incorporated. The sessions are designed to prevent and raise awareness of addictions, including the key alarm signals to detect possible problems and provide tools for possible solutions.

Bullying Prevention
How could we work on bullying in a short period of time, without making the students feel that we are feeding them the same old story, causing long faces, complicit laughter and zero learning? The answer lies in the most antagonistic element of bullying: the sense of belonging. A basic human need that goes in the opposite direction to the ultimate intention of bullying: exclusion.

Let yourself be informed, not carried away
In this talk, young people will be able to analyze, reflect and compare the tendency that exists to underestimate or overestimate consumption and the negative effects produced, especially by the most frequently used drugs during early adolescence, such as alcohol and cannabis. During this experience, the aim is for students to reflect on risky consumption and thus delay the starting age of experimental consumption.

Youth groups and conflict resolution
In this workshop, the objective is for the participants to distinguish the origin of conflicts in youth and the reasons that lead them to come together to resolve them. Contents such as the origin and motivations of youth groups will be covered, learning about the behavior of youth in them and learning conflict prevention and resolution techniques to improve coexistence in all areas.
Imparted by: Expert technicians from the La Kalle Cultural Association
Participants: Maximum 30 participants from 12 to 17 years of age from ESO and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and/or similar from public and subsidized centers in the Community of Madrid.
Duration: Workshops of 2 sessions of approximately 1 hour

Attention! The workshop on “Youth groups and conflict resolution” will be awarded to those educational centers where this problem is known to exist.

Youth 3.0
Workshops online for 1st and 2nd year ESO students, teachers and families to promote the good use of technology.

digital leaders
The workshops are taught by volunteers from the Fundación Telefónica. They are intended to acquire digital skills and abilities: use of the internet and mobile browsing, how to generate healthy digital habits, benefits and opportunities of technology in the classroom.
The project takes place over a quarter in which the training actions will be carried out online.
