
II Parainclusive Games of the Community of Madrid
Sports meeting for people with and without disabilities
Holding the I Parainclusive Games of the Community of Madrid, that took place in September 2018, reflected the high interest of the Regional Government in extending sport to people with disabilities, constituting the best showcase for the approved Plan for the Promotion of Physical Activity and Inclusive Sport Community of Madrid. A total of 900 athletes participated in this event in 22 adapted modalities.
Presentation
In this second edition of the Games it is intended to reach the figure of 1.000 participants, between athletes with and without disabilities, who will participate in 21 adapted sports modalities. Like the previous edition, where individual athletes and teams with disabilities belonging to various clubs from other communities were invited, in this edition the objective is to reinforce said participation in all individual modalities of athletes with disabilities.
In addition, there will also be the participation of the different Madrid sports federations of the sports that make up the games, as well as other associations and clubs for people with disabilities.

From 17:30 p.m. to 21 p.m., which will take place the official opening of the Games. Various competitions will be held on the facility's sports courts.

For this second edition have been selected 21 sports, some in adapted format such as Wheelchair Basketball, other more specific ones such as goalball or the boccia and the rest in inclusive competitions designed to meet another of the project's priority objectives: to promote the image of sport among the people of Madrid as a priority element of social transformation over disability.

Participants
There will be the participation of many athletes with and without disabilities from the Community of Madrid. Athletes from the rest of Spain will also attend the event, some of them national and international medalists, who under equal conditions will try to achieve victory in one of the competitions included in the Games programme.
