Elections to the Madrid sports federations

The Sports Federations of the Community of Madrid will hold their elections during the year in which the Summer Olympic Games are held. The entire electoral process must have been completed by December 31.

It will comply with the provisions of the Law 15/1994, of December 28, of Sport of the Community of Madrid, in the Decree 159/1996, of November 14 of the Governing Council, in the present Order 48/2012 of January 17 and in the provisions of its statutes and regulations.

The Sports Federations will have electoral regulations approved by the competent bodies, which must contain the following questions:

1. Form of election, composition, powers and operation of the Electoral Boards, or Electoral Tables.
2. Criteria for the elaboration of the electoral census.
3. Regulation of the condition of voters and eligible. 
4. Number of members of the General Assembly and their proportional distribution.
5. Number of members of the Executive Commission and proportional distribution of the same.
6. Rules for the election of the General Assembly, Delegate Commission and President.
7. Voting system in the different elections.
8. Presentation requirements, deadlines and proclamation of the candidacies.
9. Regulation of voting by mail.
10. System and deadlines for the replacement of casualties or vacancies.
11. Procedure for the resolution of complaints, claims and electoral appeals.

Elections are held by personal vote or by mail. Once the voting is over, the vote count will take place, the result will be made public and the candidates will be announced. The President and the members of the Delegate Commission will be elected by free, direct, equal and secret suffrage by the members of the General Assembly. The members of the Delegate Commission will be chosen from among the members of each estate of the General Assembly.

The Electoral Board will dictate agreement or resolution of incidents, claims and complaints that occur in said process.

An appeal may be lodged against the agreements and resolutions adopted before the Legal Commission for Sports of the Community of Madrid.

The resolutions of the Legal Commission of Sport of the Community of Madrid exhaust the administrative channel and are subject to contentious-administrative appeal.

The execution of the resolutions of the Legal Commission of Sport of the Community of Madrid will correspond to the Electoral Board.
