Information about the Children's Sports Program
The Children's Sports competition is aimed exclusively at non-federated boys, girls and young people from 3 to 17 years old of the Community of Madrid belonging to sports clubs, groups or associations, municipal schools and schools, with the collaboration of the different Madrilenian Federations of the sports that are practiced, and all regulated by the ORDER 1397/2023, of August 18, (BOCM No. 210, of September 4).
What is this program about?
In the convening of a regional children's sports competition addressed to all the municipalities of the region, where schoolchildren determined by each of the participating municipalities may participate, according to the established criteria. This will be governed by the regulations of the different federations of each sports modality, or by the Children's Sports Monitoring Committee.
Who can participate?
All those boys, girls and young people, from 3 to 17 years old, who are not federated and belonging to sports groups, clubs, schools, associations and other entities located in the geographical area of the Community of Madrid, previously supervised by the sports services of each participating municipality.
What are the categories in which you can participate?
The following categories are established, published in Order 200/2021:
- Pre sport, years of birth: 2017, 2018 and 2019.
- Prebenjamín, years of birth: 2015 and 2016.
- Benjamin, years of birth: 2013 and 2014.
- Youngsters, years of birth: 2011 and 2012.
- Pre- School, years of birth: 2009 and 2010.
- Cadet, years of birth: 2007 and 2008.
- Juvenil, years of birth: 2005 and 2006.
In category Benjamin After the zonal phases, sports meetings will be held with a concentration-competition format so that athletes of these ages can start practicing sports.
The athletes of the category pre-sport may be summoned by those responsible for their municipalities to participate in non-competitive sports activities of an educational, recreational or initiation nature of the various forms of sports practiced in their municipal environment.
What are the phases in which the competition is divided?
The Order establishes four phases:
- Local phase: made up of those competitions that take place at the municipal level or, as the case may be, in the groupings of municipalities within the four zones into which the region is divided (center, northwest, south and southwest).
- area phase: includes the competitions that are carried out between different municipalities of each zone. The organization of the local phases and the area phases will be the responsibility of the participating municipalities.
- Zonal phase: includes the competitions in which the athletes or classified teams participate in each of the areas into which, in turn, each zone is divided.
- Final phase: the teams or athletes classified in each zonal phase participate, based on the regulations established by the Children's Sports Monitoring Commission. This will be disputed in one of the municipalities that previously request it.
What is the established calendar for the competition?
A previous calendar is established for the local and area phases. The competitions must be held, in general, approximately two weeks before the corresponding zonal phase.
A competition schedule is established for the Zonal and Final Phases. The dates will be conveniently published.
What is the Body that regulates the competition?
The Children's Sports Monitoring Committee is responsible for the functions related to the execution, development and monitoring of the program. It is chaired by a member of the General Directorate of Sports of the Community of Madrid, or a person delegated by him, and made up of the following members:
- El head of the School Sports Service Community of Madrid.
- A technician appointed by the General Directorate of Sports.
- Un representative of each municipality that it is the head of each one of the subzones, provided that it has been communicated to the Community of Madrid presenting the minutes of the zonal committee to which it belongs. In the case of zone 1, two representatives of the Madrid City Council will attend.
- One representative from each of the federations Madrid sports participating in the program.
- an administrative appointed by the General Directorate of Sports, who will act as secretary.
How can participation in the Program be applied for?
Municipalities interested in participating in children's sports competitions will address their request to the Community of Madrid within thirty business days, which will be counted from the day following the publication of the Order in the BOCM.
The application must be submitted electronically through the General access point of the Digital Administration of the Community of Madrid.

REGISTRATION IN GCAM APPLICATION FOR TOWN HALLS AND SPORTS ENTITIES
Once the Municipalities freely decide to participate in the Children's Sports Program, submitting the corresponding application, and have been admitted in the resolution, they must register in the GCAM application, as well as their different sports entities.
There are two user profiles in the application:
1 - Municipalities:
They will request the Community of Madrid to register in the application, sending the email sportinfantil@madrid.org The document Template Registration - Cancellations,
Once they are registered in the application they will receive the access codes.
2 - Sports Entities:
They must fill out the document Template Registration - Cancellations and send it to your town hall so that they forward it to the Community of Madrid.

FOR ENTITIES WITH KEY PROBLEMS
Once the registration has been requested and confirmed through the Department of Sports of the Community of Madrid, and if the keys are not received within 15 days, these must be followed instructions.
