This series was produced as part of the Welcome to the Palace! 2019 program.

The palaces of Madrid are emanations of very real people, who commissioned them, shaped them and lived in them; they are the protagonists of this cycle.

Following the analysis of the architecture and daily life of the palaces in the two previous editions, this series, scientifically coordinated by José Luis Sancho Gaspar, a researcher at Patrimonio Nacional (National Heritage), focuses on the figures who promoted and resided in the palaces of the capital.

Nobles by birth, new aristocrats and ennobled bourgeois who lived in, and in some cases, endowed these residences with the uniqueness and beauty that we can contemplate and enjoy today.
