The Community of Madrid is going to allocate 100 million euros to the execution of different asphalt operations in 48 municipalities in the region until 2026, through the Regional Investment Program –PIR–.
This was recalled today by the Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, during the visit he made to Aranjuez where, together with its mayor, María José Martínez, he checked the final status of the works to improve firm, which the regional Executive has carried out in the historic center of the riverside town.
"The regional government will always be close to each and every one of its citizens, wherever they live and, proof of this, measures like these have an impact on the promotion of economic development and the well-being of all, managing to establish the population in their municipality and ensure territorial rebalancing. Specifically, they have requested actions to pave, rehabilitate or condition streets under the PIR: Alcalá de Henares, Ajalvir, Ambite, Aranjuez, Arganda del Rey, Arroyomolinos, Braojos, Buitrago del Lozoya, Casarrubuelos. Carabaña, Ciempozuelos, Cobeña, Colmenar del Arroyo, Collado Mediano, Collado Villalba, Daganzo de Arriba, El Álamo, Humanes de Madrid, Manzanares El Real, Meco and Mejorada del Campo. Likewise, Miraflores de la Sierra, Moralzarzal, Montejo de la Sierra, Móstoles, Navacerrada, Navalafuente, Navarredonda and San Mamés, Patones and Pelayos de la Presa.

The PIR 2022/2026 has a budget of 1.000 million euros, which represents the largest investment in the history of this program in the region. This public initiative seeks to guarantee the principles of solidarity and inter-municipal balance within the framework of social and economic policy, collaborating in the comprehensive and adequate provision of local competence services throughout its territory.
52 renovated streets in Aranjuez
In Aranjuez, the Community of Madrid has renovated a total of 52 streets, thereby improving road safety and the mobility of residents. This project, which has affected an area of almost 200.000 square meters, has had a PIR investment of almost two million euros and has involved the remodeling of the roads: Primero de Mayo, Abastos, Abdon Borny, Almansa, Almíbar, Alpajes , Ancha, Andrés Martínez, Bailén, Captain Angosto Gómez Castrillón, Calandria, Circunvalación and Corrado Gianquinto.
Likewise, works have been carried out in the area of De los Cuarteles, De la Escuadra, Del Rey, Eras, Florida, Francisco Bayeu, Hospital, Infantas, Lucas Jordán, Mar Chico, Minas de Sal, Montecillo, Montesinos, Montserrat and Moreras. Also in Naranja, Nueva, Olmos, Postas, Primavera, Príncipe, Sal, San Antonio, Santa Inés, Santa Isabel, San Isidoro, Santiago Rusiño, Sóforas, Stuart, Trinquete and Virgen de las Nieves. Likewise, work has been done on two sections of Plaza de Toros avenue, on the Noblejas road, at the Joaquín Cotonda and Primero de Mayo roundabouts, at the Plaza Doctor González Bueno and on the Paseo del Deleite.
