The IRSST culminates the celebration of the Week of Safety and Health at Work with an open day
The Community of Madrid, through the Regional Institute for Safety and Health at Work (IRSST), has developed numerous events in collaboration with different entities, organizations and companies, to commemorate the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, declared by the International Labor Organization (ILO), in homage to the victims of work accidents and occupational diseases.

The schedule of activities for the IRSST Occupational Safety and Health Week has culminated today with the celebration of a open house day focused on the educational field, in which the students of the IES Benjamín Rúa de Móstoles and Antonio Machado de Alcalá de Henares have been able to learn from the different professional profiles of the Institute the day-to-day work carried out in the organization .
In addition, a round table has been held in which the preventionist's health, their professional career and their future in organizations. On the other hand, Luisa Montesinos, general secretary of the IRSST, has participated in the Healthy Leadership meeting organized by Carrefour.
During these days, numerous activities have been carried out, among which the business meeting that the Regional Institute launched with the Association of Employers of Alcobendas (AICA) to discuss the new perspectives in occupational risk prevention; the Day “Obligations and responsibilities in the execution of energy efficiency improvement works" inaugurated by Silvia Marina Parra Rudilla, manager of the IRSST, and held together with the College of Surveyors of Madrid; or the MOCAP Technology Workshop, in collaboration with Asepeyo, where the usefulness of capturing movements through an avatar to prevent musculoskeletal disorders was explained to the students of IES La Paloma and to the attending media.
The IRSST has also participated in activities carried out by other institutions such as the V International Congress on Safety and Health at Work prepared by Osalan or the commemorative technical conference of the UGT-Madrid trade union organization. Likewise, institutional visits have been carried out to different organizations to try to learn in a practical way how they apply occupational risk prevention. Thus, IRSST workers have discovered the management of the PRL that is carried out in the Royal Theater and in the Logistics Center for Support Material for the Air and Space Army (CLOMA).
Through the organization of these events, the Regional Institute for Safety and Health at Work, has taken advantage of the celebration on April 28 of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work for another year to spread the culture of prevention in the region. in order to avoid accidents and occupational diseases, protect workers and guarantee their well-being.
