The Community of Madrid will rehabilitate Avenida Reina Victoria de Alpedrete as it passes through the Los Negrales station area
The Community of Madrid has awarded the rehabilitation of Avenida Reina Victoria de Alpedrete, as it passes through the area of the Cercanías Los Negrales station, on the border with the municipality of Collado Villalba and Guadarrama. The project, registered in the Regional Investment Program -PIR- 2022/2026, has an execution period of four months once the works have begun, which consist of paving the road, building sidewalks and replacing lighting of the way

Thus, on a surface of 600 meters, the vertical signals will be relocated and the horizontal ones will be painted to mark the lanes in both directions. Also included is the renovation of the zebra crossings to improve road safety for pedestrians, which are found at bus stops and at the accesses to the Cercanías station.
In addition, a protection fence two meters high will be placed in the strip corresponding to the overpass over the railway. Likewise, this entire section will have new, efficient and less polluting lighting, because LED technology light points will be installed.
Finally, on this crossing, also known as the old N-VI, the concrete and metal barriers that separate vehicle traffic from pedestrian circulation will be removed, with the aim of replacing them with sidewalks.
