Within the commemorative acts of the International Day of Safety and Health at Work, the Regional Institute for Safety and Health at Work (IRSST), in collaboration with the Association of Employers of Alcobendas (AICA), has held in the center of estudios Garrigues a business meeting to analyze new perspectives in occupational risk prevention.

The inauguration of the meeting, which was attended by numerous representatives of the sector, was given by Luis Suárez de Lezo from AICA, and Luisa Montesinos Arencibia, General Secretary of the IRSST, who during her presentation explained the lines of action of the organization, the campaigns of specialized advice to all the productive sectors of the region, as well as the diffusion of the preventive culture as a formula to improve working conditions and the reduction of the accident rate carried out by the Institute.

Luisa Montesinos took advantage of the occasion to emphasize that "each one of us is responsible for stopping deaths and injuries at work", in addition to stressing that "the impulse that we are all giving to the preventive culture gives us the guideline to understand when we meet regarding safety, health and well-being in our region and to continue moving forward together on the right path, and all rowing in the same direction”.

Next, a round table was held on occupational risk prevention and new forms of mobility, where Daniel Fernández, Sales Director at DEKRA Spain; Fernando Cisneros, Head of Road Safety at Garanthia Plan; Álvaro Rodríguez, Senior Public Policy Manager Spain at VOI; and Juan José Domínguez, Representative of Sustainable Mobility at MWCC; they opted for a cultural change in mobility with a predominant role of the use of the bicycle.

The meeting continued with the presentation of practical cases and good practices in prevention by Juan Hiniesto, Quality, Environment and H&S Manager of Kapsch; Eva Rodrigo, Director of the Customer Training Area of ​​Quirón Prevención; Cristophe Launay, CEO of Yees; and Rosario Rodríguez, professor of Occupational Risk Prevention at the Garrigues study center.

Finally, a colloquium was held on the prevention of psychosocial risks with the intervention of Miriam Serrano and Tomás Jiménez from Previntegra; Gema Diaz from Lid Editorial; and Javier Cantera, founder of Auren and author of "Mental Health in the Company"; in which psychology was valued to achieve well-being in companies.
