Aragón Avenue Gas Station
It constitutes one of the representative projects of the expressionist style of the architect Casto Fernández-Shaw, who already anticipated in the construction in 1927 of the gas station conserved in Alberto Aguilera street in Madrid. The set is an example of functionalism and emblematic design adapted to the aesthetics and needs of the moment, which became an icon of modernity transferred to the essential refueling function for the new mobility of the 1928th century. Both its architectural values and its character as a valuable testimony in the development of its own architectural typology for this type of buildings stand out, its conception taking place at an early time, between 1930 and XNUMX, although its construction became effective three decades later.
