So it was... IV Conference Weaving the past: From domestic work to caregiving work
Archaeology, history and current debates
We all use the word care on a daily basis, but we rarely reflect on its true meaning and how this word transcends action to include other meanings.
The IV Edition of Weaving Past The aim was to give visibility to the complexity of the term in the past and present in order to understand the different aspects and manifestations that care has had throughout history.
Weaving Past IV Program
The lectures, given by leading experts and researchers, sought other ways of approaching care, from different disciplines: Archaeology, Historiography, Sociology or Economics, also including the feminist perspective, given that it is a field primarily exercised by women and, due to its everyday nature, frequently made invisible.
The conference held in El Águila on November 6, 2024, reflected on the woman/care binomial, in addition to announcing some projects that are being developed by the Protection Area of the General Subdirectorate of Historical Heritage. scientific coordination was led by Montserrat Cruz Mateos and Isabel Baquedano Beltrán.
