
Madrid in Short
A program promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport and managed by the Distribution department of the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM) for the distribution of short films produced in the Community of Madrid. Madrid en Corto is a support for new directors and producers, a determined commitment to the dissemination of audiovisuals produced in the region.
Madrid in Short in figures
Since its creation in 2005, Madrid en Corto has managed to have the short films that are part of the program selected in 10.307 festivals (5.600 Spanish and 4.707 foreign) and have obtained 2.173 awards (1.541 Spanish and 632 foreign). In 2020, 124 short films were distributed and 134 selections and 32 awards were achieved.
Completing its dissemination work, we also work on the search for other distribution channels and promotion of the short films. From 2012 there are shorts available in DCP and HD, and in 35 mm. until the 2011.
