1, 2, 3… PERFORM! 2024
Living art proposal for children and families
1, 2, 3… PERFORMA! is an artistic proposal aimed at children that invites them to enter a creative universe where movement and art merge, guiding them through four interactive experiences inspired by outstanding pictorial avant-gardes of the XNUMXth century. They will be able to immerse themselves in the world of color and form, exploring the principles of action painting and abstract art, among others.
In this new edition we collaborate again with Elisa Miravalles, a prominent artist in the field of performance. Her unique focus on interacting with objects and her contribution to previous projects aimed at girls and boys have been essential to continue innovating and creating enriching experiences in this field. Through a program made up of 4 stations, the little ones will not only improve their appreciation of art, but will also expand their capacity for expression and creative thinking.
STATION 1 Action and Painting - Pollock Inspiration
We will enter the dynamic universe of action painting, making a nod to the emblematic technique of the artist Jackson Pollock. Innovating on traditional "dripping", we will use ropes and various techniques to collaboratively weave through a large white mesh recreating the characteristic strokes of this painter.
STATION 2 Geometic abstraction - The world of Mondrián
Armed with square plates in primary colors, in addition to black and white, everyone present will embark on the task of creating a mosaic on the floor that emulates the famous compositions of the artist Piet Mondrian. Spatial perception and creative thinking to solve challenges will be our great allies when discovering abstract art.
STATION 3 The beauty of nature inspired by O'Keeffe
At this station we will invite young artists to immerse themselves in a sensory landscape that reflects the vision of Georgia O'Keeffe. Using colorful fabrics, we will bring to life her emblematic flowers and landscapes. Through the action itself, we will compose transitory works that resemble painting with air and color, thus capturing the ephemeral beauty of nature.
STATION 4 The Bauhaus Theater - Polyhedra in Action
Every day of 1, 2, 3... PERFORM! will end with this action inspired by the Bauhaus theater. Using colored polyhedra, participants will create structures that dialogue with their postures and movements, in an activity that will intertwine dance, sculpture and architecture, that is, we will connect different artistic disciplines with each other, with a lot of rhythm, balance and geometry, just as the Bauhaus.
