General Subdirectorate for Cooperation with the State, the European Union and Foreign Action

The Sub-directorate General for Cooperation with the State, the European Union and Foreign Action is in charge of assisting and helping Madrilenians living abroadas well as the returning citizens to live in the Community of Madrid. 

The Subdirectorate assumes the institutional relations of the Community of Madrid with the European Committee of the Regions, whose regular member is the President and the alternate is the General Director of Cooperation with the State and the European Union. 

It is also in charge of maintaining the institutional relations of the Community with the Conference for Matters Related to the European Union and with its support and preparation body: the Coordinators Commission. 

The Subdirectorate deals with the coordination of State aid granted by the Community of Madrid, as well as infringement procedures and technical regulations, having been recognized as an interlocutor by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.

This Subdirectorate is also responsible for facilitating citizen access to information on and about the European Union and its institutions and bodies. For this, it has a series of services (databases, alert service, informative bulletins, training sessions and others), accessible through the European Documentation Center of the Community of Madrid and section Madrid in the world of this web page. 

Specifically, it promotes participation in European funding programs and coordinates the participation of the Community of Madrid in them.
