Original idea and performers: Elia Tralará and Uxia López

In “Stories and songs of washerwomen”, Uxía López, a musician specialized in folklore, sings and plays, accompanied by traditional percussion instruments, accordion, utensils and other instruments, several pieces related to the gatherings of washerwomen in streams, fountains and washing places. In addition, he has set to music, expressly for the work, two popular romances and a poem.

For her part, Elia Tralará, actress and narrator, tells several popular stories that reflect how this activity is very present in oral tradition, interspersed with stories about what it was like and how women lived in these work spaces.
